Product description
Structure
The Shark Skin cream enables water sports enthusiasts to increase their speed by reducing the skin's own frictional resistance in the water. The cream has been specially developed for human skin during water sports, especially swimming. Shark Skin is based on a special biopolymer complex that smoothes the skin surface via occlusion.
Shark Skin guarantees a very strong (up to 13%) and long-lasting (until active removal) reduction in water resistance.
Technology and mode of action
The microbran© film formed by Shark Skin has a lotus effect on the surface. This means that neither salt water nor fresh water can dilute, dissolve or even rinse off the film. Thanks to the lotus effect, Shark Skin is also abrasion-resistant - it generally remains in place until removed by the user. It can be removed from the skin with water by intensive rubbing (scrubbing and wiping technique) without leaving any residue; normal washing is sufficient for textiles.
Shark Skin is hypoallergenic, i.e. completely non-irritating and extremely well tolerated by the skin. Shark Skin is identical to the skin and hair's own cell membrane complex, so it stabilizes the skin and also protects it from drying out. Shark Skin's pH-balance© technology reduces alkalinity and keeps the pH value in the skin-neutral range of 5.5. The skin is also protected from other environmental influences.
The Shark Skin cream has a purely biomimetic biopolymer base. It is 100% organic and biodegradable, making it very environmentally friendly.
Shark Skin is:
- breathable,
- extremely sweat-resistant,
- extremely (salt) water-resistant and
- extremely resistant to friction.

Apply to dry skin, rub in completely until a complete gliding sensation is achieved. Allow 1 to 3 minutes for the product to take effect until adhesion is completely reduced.
To intensify the effect, the application can be repeated after drying.
From the body: Remove with water by intensive rubbing (scrubbing-wiping technique).
From textiles: Can be removed by normal washing at 35°C or higher.

Notes and questions
Need grip on your hands? Here's how ...
In swimming competitions, especially triathlons, it is important to have a good grip on the palms of the hands after exiting the swim so that the zipper of a shorty or long wetsuit can be gripped and opened if necessary. In such cases, it is recommended to remove Shark Skin from the palms of the hands by intensive rubbing (scrubbing and wiping technique).
The same applies to surfing, as the palms of the hands need grip on the rails or on the deck in order to stand up.
When sailing, windsurfing or kitesurfing, the above also applies to the palms of the hands, as the hands absolutely need a consistent grip.
FAQs
How often can the product be used?
The product is completely non-irritating for the skin and can be applied as often as desired, even directly one after the other.
Why does Shark Skin repel water thanks to its lotus effect, can be used in water and on the other hand, according to the application description, can only be removed by water and friction?
By friction, the application description actually means a rubbing and wiping technique during removal. This type of stress on the skin does not usually occur in everyday sporting activities.
