Application

For topical application. Apply to dry skin, massage in gently, and allow to dry completely.

Can also be used on open wounds and areas of irritation, etc.

The exposure/drying time is 3 – 5 minutes.

To intensify the effect, the application can be repeated after it has dried.

Can be removed without residue by rubbing thoroughly with water.

Can Shield & Care Lotion also be used in other areas?

Yes, Shield & Care Lotion can also be used in other areas. For example, wherever it's necessary to prevent blisters or provide chemical protection – especially during extensive wet work with the hands. Various applications, especially from the trades, are reported here.

Are there any indications from everyday use as to when Shield & Care Lotion should not be used?

Yes. Among other things, doctors have applied Shield & Care Lotion directly to freshly sutured wounds to promote wound healing. Despite its success in terms of healing, the adhesive effect resulting from the weeping wounds was so strong that the stitches became more difficult to remove. In these cases, it is recommended to apply Shield & Care Lotion to sutured wounds only after 2-3 days, when the wound is no longer weeping and/or the stitches have been removed.

Construction

Skin care and protection are especially important before, during, and after exercise. This applies to acute problems as well as preventatively.

Microbran© technology creates a micro-protective film on the skin that, at approximately 4 to 6 micrometers thick, is imperceptible, breathable, and highly effective. This protects against external chemical, physical, and microbial influences.

The effect is long-lasting, water- and abrasion-resistant and generally lasts until the next time the towel is used in combination with plenty of water – for example, directly after a shower.

How does Shield & Care Lotion work

The development of problem areas and skin injuries is unfortunately unavoidable, especially during intense sporting activity. Shield & Care Lotion minimizes this risk or provides comfortable and fast-acting treatment in the event of a problem:

  • Physical activity opens the skin's pores, making it easier to absorb external influences. Shield & Care Lotion forms a micro-protective film over the entire skin, inhibiting germs, for example. This protective effect against environmental influences is particularly important during sporting activities with exposed skin in potentially contaminated environments.
  • The alkaline sweating typical of sports stresses the skin and leads to sweat eczema. The pH-balance© technology in Shield & Care Lotion reduces alkalinity and maintains the pH value in the skin-neutral range of 5.5. Shield & Care Lotion can therefore be used to treat sweat eczema.
  • Pressure and friction make contact points the body's weak points. Blisters and open wounds develop, significantly impairing performance and often requiring long recovery periods. The microbran© protective film in Shield & Care Lotion stabilizes and strengthens the stratum corneum of the skin, thus protecting it against physical influences such as pressure and friction.

Shield & Care Lotion is rheologically active and specifically compensates for mechanical energies that act directly on the skin locally and typically quickly lead to overload and thus blisters. This works prophylactically but also on existing problem areas.

  • Shield & Care Lotion is particularly suitable as a bandage substitute—especially for open wounds! The lotion promotes blood clotting. Bleeding from abrasions, for example, is inhibited and usually completely stopped. The microbran© film formation mimics the skin, has lipophilic properties, and thus isolates the hydrophilic blood. This leads to static blood clotting due to the oxygen permeability of the microbran© film.
  • The pathogen-inhibiting potential of Shield & Care Lotion also comes into play for scratches and abrasions: If an injury to the skin occurs, the film-forming properties of Shield & Care Lotion significantly reduce the risk of infection. The microbran© protective film automatically rebuilds itself over such minor injuries, allowing its pathogen-inhibiting properties to take effect.
  • Shield & Care Lotion also helps with irritated and inflamed areas as well as with skin and nail fungus.

Areas of application

These are just a few examples; the areas of application for Shield & Care Lotion are as diverse as the skin's need for general care and protection, so they cannot be fully presented here.

The Shield & Care Lotion is:
