Application

It is recommended to shower beforehand with one of the DYNADION Shower & Shampoos in order to achieve the most homogeneous film formation possible on the hair.

Spray as a leave-in spray onto dry or damp hair. It's best to work in small portions, starting at the nape of the neck. For long-lasting and even protection, we recommend applying the spray to wet hair and then combing it through evenly. No need to wait for any processing time.

Shield Spray Hair UV can be combined with all DYNADION products to achieve synergistic effects. The following general rules apply:

  1. First use rinse-off products (shower & shampoo) and then leave-on products.
  2. If you're using multiple leave-on products, apply those with mechanical protection (lotions, fluids) first, followed by the other leave-on products (sprays). Apply the thermoactive products (cooling, warming) first among the other leave-on products (sprays).

How long does the sun protection actually last?

How long a person can spend in the sun without suffering damage to their hair and scalp from UV radiation varies from person to person. Shield Spray Hair UV has a sun protection factor of 60 (SPF 60) for the scalp. The hair itself cannot be sunburned, but damage from sun exposure varies greatly from person to person, so no specific sun protection factor can be specified.

Although barely noticeable, Shield Spray Hair UV remains reliably and long-lasting as a regenerating and protective microfilm on the hair and scalp. It is extremely sweat- and (salt) water-resistant, as well as extremely resistant to friction. The application only needs to be repeated after drying off water or sweat with a towel or similar, or after washing your hair with shampoo.

Construction

Head protection—especially protection against damage from solar radiation (UV-A/UV-B/UV-C), salt water, and chlorinated water—is often neglected during exercise. This often has devastating consequences for the hair and scalp.

Shield Spray Hair UV offers a unique solution based on NSP© and microbran© technology.

NSP© stands for "natural sun protection." NSP© technology forms a barely noticeable micro-protective film on the hair, approximately 2 to 3 micrometers thick, which naturally protects the hair and scalp against UV-A, UV-B, and UV-C radiation. UV radiation is absorbed immediately upon application of Shield Spray Hair UV. This micro-protective film is also extremely (salt) water-resistant, sweat-resistant, and abrasion-resistant—and can maintain its sun protection effect for a very long time. A sun protection factor for hair cannot be specified, as it cannot be measured as such. The sun protection factor for the scalp is 60.

The micro-protective film is removed solely by shearing, i.e., intensive rubbing of the hair, such as when drying with a towel or shampooing. Only afterward is a reapplication necessary.

The protection of Shield Spray Hair UV is particularly maintained through its film-forming properties: Should slight abrasion occur as a result of the accidental imitation of a scrubbing and wiping technique, the microbran© protective film and the NSP© component will rebuild themselves there automatically.

The spray thus provides chemical and physical protection for the hair and scalp. It also prevents hair damage (e.g., caused by friction when wearing a helmet).

Effects and protection

The spray is extremely waterproof and therefore ideal for water sports.

The protective and conditioning effects of Shield Spray Hair UV are long-lasting. Typically, they last until the next time you use a towel in combination with sweat or plenty of water—for example, directly after a shower.

NSP© strengthens the cell membrane complex of the hair and scalp and is free from conventional and often very harmful mineral or organic sunscreen ingredients. In particular, it is free of microplastics, oxybenzone, octinocate, and octocrylene.

The pH-balance© technology of Shield Spray Hair UV removes the alkalinity from sweat and maintains the pH value in the skin-neutral range of 5.5. This removes the alkaline irritating potential of sweat when it comes into contact with the hair and potentially transports it. Sweat eczema on the skin is prevented, and hair porosity is avoided.

Shield Spray Hair UV also has caring properties – the most important ones are:

  • It provides long-lasting moisture (up to 24 hours) and thus prevents the scalp and hair from drying out.
  • It gives the hair plasticity and strength, makes it water-repellent.

The increased plasticity and strength of the hair is a significant plus in terms of comfort, especially for sports that require wearing a hat or helmet: even long hair styles are surprisingly good and quickly moldable after removing the hat or helmet.

The Shield Spray Hair UV is:
